these songs are for the downtrodden, for every person who was having a mental episode and was misunderstood, wrongfully arrested, or left to die by those who claimed to love them. every time i sang a chorus it felt like we were singing these anthems together. hold our heads up high, keep your chin up we were having a breakdown and this is how we were treated hahaha fuck that noise!

we were dragged through all this torment upon broken glass and that makes us the strongest and most beautiful people out there !

P.S. I used a lot of hand held vocal takes through a shure sm58 for that breathy and raw feeling and drum loops to capture the feeling of being caught in a downward spiral and losing control.
